ABOUT THE GARMENT
The DEAD-END collection seems to have been that, a collection of tailoring for which there is no sequel.
These trousers are nicknamed as “LONG JOHNS”, and they are another feat of engineering by Carol Christian Poell. DEAD-END seams adorn each outer thigh, most seams are taped and OVERLOCK, and the crotch is dysfunctional with a buttoned opening that points upwards at an inconvenient angle (to say the least). The fit is slim, not tight, and they certainly do not possess the quality of comfort that “long johns” typically have.
The BETWEEN fabric is an OVERDYED cotton fabric with a very dry hand.
