ABOUT THE GARMENT
Most often remember C.C.P.’s work for its prominent and astringent qualities.
These derbies are instead … stealthily hardcore. While others have an exposed shank that is prone to breaking, this pair protects the structure of the sole under stacks of robust leather. In fact, the total anatomy of the shoe feels protective despite its very obvious size negation. They fit 2 sizes bigger than indicated on the sole, the same way that every item created by Poell seems to ignore the boundaries of anatomy and physics.
Almost exoskeletal, the derbies are made with the iconic CUL-PTC. This is a vegetable tanned, object dyed, cordovan leather that is substantial and decorated with an incomparable texture.
